Biography
Alicia Sirkin, BFRP, is a leading expert in the field of Bach Flower Remedy therapy and one of only 140 Bach Foundation Registered Practitioners (BFRP) in the United States. A speaker, researcher and internationally published author on the Bach Flower Remedies, she has been featured in magazines such as Fitness, Spa, Vegetarian Times and Massage, as well as many international publications. Alicia appears on national and local television and talk radio shows and has regularly contributed articles for Alternative Medicine Magazine.
One of a small number of American practitioners that teach the officialIntroductory Course on the Flower Remedies of Dr. Edward Bach, Alicia’s professional background in dentistry allows her to comfortably teach medical and dental audiences. She has been a recurring speaker on the Bach remedy system at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Integrative Medicine Advocacy Group, School of Nursing and Department of Anthropology as well as teaching original curriculum at Miami Dade College. Sharing her research at the annual Symposium at the University of Miami’s Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Alicia has also presented at Palm Bach State College and been a featured presenter at the 2nd Annual Evidence-based Complementary & Alternative Cancer Therapies for the non-profit Annie Appleseed Project. Her unique continuing education programs for nurses and hospital employees have been approved by state boards of nursing and respiratory therapists. Speaking at national dental conventions, Alicia has presented a half-day scientific session as well as co-presented self-help wellness programs to dental families.
Ms. Sirkin co-authored published scientific research on the effectiveness of the Bach remedy crisis formula, Rescue® Remedy for test anxiety, published in Complementary Health Practice Review and co-authored “When less is better: A comparison of Bach Flower Remedies and homeopathy”, published in Annals of Epidemiology. Additionally, she presents programs on stress management, aging gracefully, coping for caregivers, anxiety relief, easing depression and how to restore emotional balance through life’s difficult transitions with flower remedies and other energy-based self-help techniques to all ages starting in elementary schools.
Alicia is published in the second edition of Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide and in Alternative Medicine’s Guide to Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease. She was a contributing author in Design the Life of Your Dreams: Using the Unique Energy of Each Month to Expand the Twelve Areas of Your Life by author Winnie Shows.
Alicia and co-author Elisabeth Wiley, BFRP, a nationally known Bach Flower practitioner and educator, publish the Bach Flower Remedies Quick Reference Guide, a Bach remedy self-selection guide that is globally recognized and recommended by The Dr. Edward Bach Centre.
